Bay Area Rapid Transit – BART

Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) is one of the best ways to get around the bay area without the headache of bridge tolls, parking in San Francisco, and getting stuck in traffic. If you decide to take BART, our Berkeley hotel we will pick you up and drop you back off at the North Berkeley BART Station. Our complimentary shuttle runs throughout the day, making it easy for our guests to explore Berkeley, Oakland, San Francisco, and more.

Getting to and from the Oakland or San Francisco airports is a breeze with BART. If you are traveling through Oakland International Airport (OAK), just use the Fremont-Richmond trains. Traveling through San Francisco International Airport (SFO)? Take a look at our local area hints for an easy, cost effective, and stress free ride to the airport.

-SFO is at the end of the line, but make sure you take the SFO-bound train. Millbrae trains will get you close to the airport, but not quite close enough!
-Don’t forget to transfer! Since trains from North Berkeley station do not run directly to San Francisco International Airport, make sure to transfer at the MacArthur station. When you are coming from the airport, transfer at MacArthur onto a Richmond-bound train.

Downtown San Francisco is just a short 20 minute ride on the BART, so be sure to take advantage of the restaurants, attractions, and unique characteristics of the city that are at your fingertips. Whether you’re visiting from out of town, here on business, or just passing through, BART helps you avoid traffic delays, parking hassles, and the high cost of taxis, rental cars, and shuttles. We look forward to welcoming you to the Berkeley Bay Area soon!
